Enigma - Monster Within - 80x80cm

"To confront a man with his own shadow is to show him his own light." - Carl Jung

Beautiful sea with reflection of lights and swirls, striking skyscapes, and blurry self reflection of the viewers.
The enigmatic world of the subconscious mind and unveil the hidden monster that lurks within all of us.
The term “hidden monster within” – the viewer’s blurry self reflection – symbolizes the darker aspects of the subconscious mind that lie dormant within each individual.
The human subconscious mind is a complex and mysterious entity. And is home to our deepest fears and anxieties and can manifest in various forms.
Dreams serve as a bridge between the conscious and subconscious realms. Ethereal sceneries in our dream such as beautiful sea and cloud formations may reflect our deepest fears that such awe–inspiring beauty of nature could also bare its fangs at times and turn around our lives with a hidden monstrous power.

The Psychologist Carl Jung introduced the concept of the “shadow self,” representing the unconscious part of ourselves that we deny or repress.
Our experiences, traumas, and repressed emotions often find refuge in the depths of the subconscious, influencing our everyday lives without us realizing it and this hidden monster is an integral part of our mind.
Embracing the depths of our subconscious minds empowers us. By confronting our shadows, we become aware of our own light, and we can ultimately turn the hidden monster into a catalyst for positive bright transformation – like the reflected light on the ocean.
